Jeanne's x-mas gift from Gary: A road trip with highlights from Prescott, AZ to Las Vegas, NV to see INXS in concert!

We both enjoyed INXS's (rock group) music long before meeting one another & have continued to enjoy their music together. We watched "Rock Star" which aired on TV in 2005 in their search for a new lead singer. Gary surprised Jeanne (for x-mas) with tickets to see INXS in concert at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

This trip was planned & centered around the INXS event and to have a romantic getaway. And so IT WAS.......

Prescott, AZ

Trivia: Prescott was Arizona's first territorial capitol.

We found the people & surroundings to have a beautiful simplistic nature and the topography of the land offers drastic differences.

Kirkland &  Skull Valley

Kirkland & Skull Valley are very small towns within the vicinity of Prescott, AZ. And the answer to your question? No, they are not a ghost towns.

Kirkland is about to expand offering beautiful estate homes with expansive views.

Jerome, AZ

Jerome is located on a mountainside between Prescott & Sedona and known, and was one of the most productive mining towns in the country. It is now an artist community with restaurants, interesting shops & boutiques.

See Jerome at the
top of the crest?
Yep, that's it!

Historical Route 66

We took the historic Route 66 from Williams, AZ to "Viva Las Vegas".

Located off the 66 in this ghost town of Hackberry, AZ is this beautiful 1960 Corvette. We couldn't resist the urge to stop & take a few pictures.

Hoover Dam

Our next tourist stop also known at pit stop was Hoover Dam
